Ranges and ovens
If your gas range clicks but burners will not light, check that the burner caps are seated correctly and the igniter tips are clean and dry. A spill can short out the spark module and keep it clicking. If the oven will not heat, the bake igniter is the usual cause on gas ranges and the bake element on electric ones. On electric ranges, a burner that only works on high or not at all often points to a failed infinite switch.
Water heaters and hard water
